Software Defined WAN

It used to be only internal data centers could benefit from multiple network connections such as broadband, voiceover IP or LTE. This is no longer the case. SD-WAN effectively bundles and dynamically manages these networks from site-to-site, usually on a single interface. Whereas before, network changes had to be made on site, they can now be done centrally. This results in increased savings and higher network availability. In July, 2017, Gartner estimated SD-WAN has less than 5% market share. They predict up to 30% of companies will adopt SD-WAN within two years.

SD-WAN infrastructure introduces a layer of extended network services throughout the line of business. Opportunities for additional ancillary services include Mobile Device Management and IoT (The Internet of Things). Combined, these three verticals have tremendous growth potential under the right leadership.
